The correct time display is set by completely turning the knob to the maximum time range (full scale) and then turning back to the required time setting. After the time delay is selected, the clockwork movement then takes the knob back to the zero position and activates the snap action changeover contact. The selected time delay can be altered in either directionwhile the time switch is in operation.
